Electric Dream: Happy six week anniversary!

What an (electric) shock to the system!

So partly because I would like to get all This-Is-Your-Electric-Life on the car and partly because I am slightly brain dead (courtesy of Uni exams), I have for week six, created a short poem for my electric dream:

Trying out electric has been a move for the best,
it's been a shock, but you've passed the test

Your powerful engine exceeds your small mass,
And unlike my ex-boyfriend you don't drink and leak gas

Your GPS remembers when the speed limit is forgot,
I put it in Swedish because it sounds hot

I've saved heaps on petrol and maintenance too,
and you hold the shopping that I've done lieu

You've settled into Melbourne extremely well,
been given two parking fines and rained on like hell

And although we may get some odd looks in the street,
I'm so happy to drive with a battery at my feet

So as me and you, i-MiEV take on the city,
reducing emissions, keeping earth pretty

I'd like to thankyou for never-fail attitude,
unless I forget to charge you (then I'm totally screwed)
